Great Rewards Wait For Those Who Serve Others

For the last six months or so, I have been deeply entrenched in marketing my business. This has challenged me and even taken me out of my comfort zone. Focusing on marketing has taught me the importance of focusing on others rather than on yourself.

Part of success in any endeavor is servicing other people and creating wins for them. When you do that in the right way, you will ultimately achieve success.

Success is finding the intersection of what you want to do, the feasibility of your goals, and how you can serve other people.

We all have goals and desires, but achieving goals is largely about helping others achieve their goals. If you want a high-paying career, serve others. If you want to go into entrepreneurship, serve others. Serving others is foundational to finding success.

Even a person who wants to find a romantic partner or even a new friend group has to offer something to others, whether that’s emotional support or even fun to hang out with. The more you can figure out what people want and need and deliver that, the more likely you are to succeed.

A job is a service to at least one other person. A job serves others by solving a problem, fulfilling a desire, providing community, or even entertaining.

In the pursuit of success, we often forget that the way to success is to help people get what they want. We are so busy thinking about what we want and are stuck in our own world or victimhood that we don’t really consider what others want.

As a writer, I always ask myself what lessons I can teach and write about those. There are many more issues that I could write about, but if I wrote about everything I wanted to, it would be a hodgepodge of random thoughts and obscure sports facts.

I have been thinking about relaunching my YouTube channel and have researched how to do so. The number one advice is to find what people are searching for—in essence, give people what they want.

A restauranteur may put one or two dishes that they love to cook on the menu, but they may also need to keep the burger and, of course, a vegan option.

As the late Zig Ziglar often said, “You can have everything in life you want if you help enough other people get what they want.”
